Join us for wine and light refreshments at the Wi7 Opening Reception, which will be held at The Cabildo - Louisiana State Museum.  Located at 701 Chartres Street, Jackson Square, the museum is within convenient walking distance from the hotel. The Cabildo was the site of the Louisiana Purchase transfer ceremonies in 1803, and continued to be used by the New Orleans city council until the mid-1850s. Among other interesting items, you will find the death mask of Napoleon, a floor displaying clothes and artifacts from the Civil War, and displays and information on colonial Louisiana.  After meeting old friends—and making new ones—you will be in the heart of historic New Orleans for your first night in town.
