ABA’s Seventh Annual Winter Institute takes place January 18 - 20, 2012 in New Orleans.

The ABA Winter Institute is an annual opportunity for ABA bookstore members to learn, network, and just have fun. The Winter Institute is open to bookstore and provisional members, and the extensive educational program is full of in-depth sessions, special events, provocative speakers, festive receptions, and much more.

This year's educational program has been restructured to increase productive networking, best practices, and actionable items:

• Opening the institute on Wednesday, following our morning speakers and lunch, three sessions will be repeated over three blocks so that no one will miss these vital sessions.

• Following Thursday's morning block and Rep Picks Lunch, all tracks will feature four 30-minute Best Practices sessions to maximize useful takeaways.

• Friday will be focused on pre-selected working groups engaging in group study and activity. The results of each group will be reviewed and organized, then—following the second Rep Picks Lunch and a block of roundtable discussions—presented to the entire institute.
